ACPTA members will also be members of the Canadian Association for Play Therapy.
ACPTA membership opens September 6th, 2024
We will advance play therapy awareness in our own communities. We will also advertise who the play therapy people are in each province so they are easily located.
This will assist the public in learning about the benefits of play therapy and the therapeutic powers of play in mental health service provision.
We will provide mentorship and best practice information to our members.

Below are the categories of membership with our association.
Please choose the relevant category and e-transfer the membership fee to info@atlanticcanadaplaytherapyassociation.com. Follow- up with an email to the same address with an email that indicates what type of membership you are seeking.
You will receive a response email asking for confirmation of membership with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy, photograph and contact information. Your membership information will be published on your provincial page on this website once it is processed.
Membership Categories (click on the right category)
Play Therapy Student (engaged in current CAPT or CAPT approved provider training) - $50.
Play Therapy Intern (finished 160 hours of Play Therapy Training- as defined above) - $50.
Certified Play Therapist - $ 75.
Certified Play Therapist Supervisor - $100.
Agency that provides Play Therapy services by professional who is affiliated with CAPT - $ 150
General Membership (anyone who is not affiliated with CAPT) - $50.
